Back when Rampage debuted as a coin-op, it benefited from a beautiful, cartoonish conceit: facsimiles of famous movie-monster mutants mindlessly mounting and destroying urban skyscrapers and gobbling up fistfuls of panicked people. Other than batting away annoying helicopters, that's all One needed. And though Rampage Through Time has updated that winning Formula, it thankfully hasn't strayed too far from the original lowbrow concept. Lizzy, George, and Ralph are still there, along with five new monsters, and they're smashing their way through 20 historical settings, including ancient Egypt and the American Old West. The game has 60 building-smash rounds as well as 20 minigames. Best of all, there's now support for three players--just as in the arcade--using the separately sold
Multi Tap accessory.
