State of Decay challenges players to survive a world occupied by zombies and other grotesque subhuman creatures. The plot of this game is taken straight out of a typical horror movie that builds with tremendous suspense and foreshadowing. The open world game play allows players tremendous flexibility in choosing different paths that lead to unique progression. From guard towers to workshops, there are plenty of structures that can be built as part of bases. Essential supplies like food and weapons must also be gathered and used wisely for hard times. Marcus Campbell, the main character in State of Decay, roams around a dangerous world that is threatened by an apocalypse brought on by the walking dead who have risen from the graveyards.
