Quote: Believe it or not in my small little speck state Delaware, USA not many people have heard of Turbografix let alone, played or remember the system. I agree with you on everything! I loved this system better than some more modern ones and would give anything to have my system back! Thanks so much for your post-now I can show my boyfriend that the system did exist! Bonks adventure can I just say definitely beats out sonic the hedgehog...where else can you find a guy with a HUGE HEAD! That turns red and invincible when he eats enough Red Meat!! Can't find that game or the system anywhere but if you know of anyone please let me know! I'll pay nearly anything for that system.
turbografix started well but ultimately failed because it wasnt a true 16 bit system it was an 8 bit system with a 16 bit graphics chip and trends are everything and sega had several commercials bringing up turbo owners really had a supercharged 8 bit system and the strategy worked what was cool and a fad overnight became outdated overnight in my opinion turbos graphics look better than genesis because of the color palette 512 at once compared to genesis 64 colors and though the games have less paralex scrolling or size than genesis it has a cleaner look overall turbo was also known for releasing the first console cd gaming 3 years before anyone else later on they tried to sell the turbo with the cd built in and more ram called the turbo duo but it was too late by then today its highly prized by collectors and it has some great that u cant find anywere else the original splatterhouse in my opinion is the best hack n slash single player game ever made and looks far better than the genesis sequal then u got bonks adventure i also feel were superior to sonic and just slightly second to mario u have legendary axe ninja spirit great arcade action games u cant find on any other system and alien crush the best pinball game ever made u had breathtaking rpgs like ys and valis making good use of the cd player these games were the teacher of the final fantasys and grandias of the world and most modern day rpgs owe a debt to those genius programmers in a side night i got a kick outta hearing somebody else on earth once owned the turbo game night creatures were a vampire bat bites u flys off then u gotta go through the most awful cheap castlevania 2 clone ever made i bought that game at 10 cause i liked vampires and the graphics looked cool and gothic laer on i think i burned that game in the fireplace what a terd!the neogeo sprite freak
