Join a futuristic army to be all you can be in Sony Online’s FIELD COMMANDER, a PSP science-fiction turn-based strategy game that up to four gamers can play at once. With over 30 scenarios, quick battles, multiplayer modes, and more, FIELD COMMANDER is one of the most impressive strategy games the PSP has seen. Players take charge of a battalion of soldiers as a field commander for the Allied Nations organization known as ATLAS. ATLAS is tasked with protecting the world from the Shadow Nation, a band of terrorists who will stop at nothing to bring terror to all countries. The story mode revolves around players attempting to take down the Shadow Nation and stop their plots for world domination. In addition to story mode, players can also play a quick battle, create and share their own missions via the campaign editor, or battle a friend in four different modes, including hot swap, ad hoc, infrastructure, and an interesting play by email mode. All of these modes have players controlling an army made up of 15 different types of units, including soldiers, infantry, special ops teams, and land, sea, and air vehicles. All of these units have their own special abilities and attacks, including special division powers that can only be activated at certain points in the game. FIELD COMMANDER brings great turned-based strategy to the PSP with challenging missions, various units, and enough content and modes to keep players battling for days.
