EA Sports FIFA soccer series is known as one of the best, and FIFA 06: ROAD TO FIFA WORLD CUP for the Xbox 360 continues that tradition. The first soccer game for the new platform, FIFA 06 combines great soccer action with amazing graphics. Road to FIFA World Cup is not, as players might think, a simple upgrade to FIFA 06 for the Xbox. Instead, the game has been built from the ground up for the new platform. Road to FIFA World Cup doesn’t focus on club teams or include a huge variety of players, but it does give gamers a chance to qualify their team for the World Cup. In addition to the number of European teams available, players can also create their own custom team to qualify for the cup as well. The game also includes several other modes. Up to four players can play in a custom league or tournament, friendly match, or work together as a team to defeat other players via Xbox Live. Leaderboards and statistics are also available online. Practice mode is also available for players who want to get a little more experience with certain plays or abilities. Soccer fans who don’t care about a wide array of players or unlockables but just want a great, well-designed soccer game will love FIFA 06: ROAD TO FIFA WORLD CUP. The visuals on the Xbox 360 are stunning, the gameplay is great, and the soccer dynamics are incredibly life-like.
