Description
A nameless young warrior (whom you can name as you like)meets a mysterious old man, while trying to escape from a disaster that plagued his home. The old man tells him he is the only one who can save the world from a horrible monster, since he is the one an old prophecy has spoken about. You must find the crystals of life and defeat the cruel enemy. But don't worry, on your way you'll meet friends who will help you...

The game features typical turn-based combat (not the ATB battles known to us from the usual Final Fantasy games), and the hero also can jump, to overcome obstacles and to solve simple puzzles. Your party members can be controlled either by AI or manually, in which case you can issue orders to them just as you do to the main character. Unlike other Final Fantasy games, there are no random battles here, all the enemies are visible. You can't roam freely on the world map, but only "jump" from location to location. If you die in a battle, the game will let you retry as many times as you like, but the items you have used will be lost. You can save at any point in the game.
