Description
While Rockstar Games’ GRAND THEFT AUTO series has caused some controversy, no one can deny its popularity. Continuing with its tradition of presenting mature gamers with action-packed adventures, Rockstar Games has created GRAND THEFT AUTO: LIBERTY CITY STORIES for the PS2. Set in 1998 in a city not unlike New York City, players take on the role of Toni Cipriani, who works for the Leone family, a criminal gang headed by Salvatore Leone. The main goal of LIBERTY CITY STORIES is to complete enough missions to become Leone’s right hand man, thus gaining fame, fortune, and women. Standing in Toni’s way are rivals, other gangs, police, and the yakuza, the Japanese mafia. Some of the names and locations will be familiar to GRAND THEFT AUTO fans, but knowledge of the previous games isn’t required to play LIBERTY CITY STORIES. The game is set up very similar to the other games in the series, with players taking on different missions that involve stealing, taking out rivals, and other deeds as directed by Salvatore and his minions. In addition to the main story, there are many extra side missions and mini-games that players can participate in, including taxi driving, delivering pizzas, and test driving cars. Gamers know the GRAND THEFT AUTO series represents mature gaming fun, and LIBERTY CITY STORIES doesn’t disappoint in that regard. The storyline, setting, and missions are all one hundred percent GRAND THEFT AUTO.
