Everyone’s little flying friend Kirby is back in Nintendo’s KIRBY DS for the Nintendo DS. Up to four players can join in the fun this time. Returning to his side-scrolling roots, KIRBY DS is full of action, humor, and that great brand of fun that is uniquely Kirby. Once again, players will control Kirby as he jumps and leaps his way through many different levels and encounters many different enemies. He can either jump over these foes or swallow them. He can also suck in air and puff up, allowing Kirby to float through the air and over huge chasms or masses of enemies. He can also copy various enemy techniques. These techniques and Kirby’s inventory are controlled by the stylus. Players tap on items with the stylus to use them or, in some cases, combine them to form more powerful items. In addition to the single player game, KIRBY DS also includes several different mini-games that up to four players can play via wi-fi connection. These mini-games are a great way for gamers to get to know other KIRBY players and to get more enjoyment out of the game. Players love Kirby, and for gamers who have been waiting for the little guy’s next adventure, the wait is over. For players who have never experienced a Kirby game, this entry in the series is a great place to start.
