Description

Bowser is back, and along with the Bowser kids, he's out to spoil Mario's day once again.  This time, along with nabbing the Princess, the Bowser crew have also taken the magic wands from the Kings of each land, and turned them into creatures. It's up to Mario and Luigi to get back the magic wands, defeat Bowser and save the Princess all before the day is done.  Old and new power ups abound in each level for the Mario Brothers, including the return of the Mushroom and Fire Flower, plus the new power ups including the frog suit, the warp flute and the most important of all, the leaf, which allows you to fly and attack enemies with your tail.

there is a way to get 100 lives by Pete Booker 21 May 2008
in world 3, level 4, there is a way to get 100 lives. first, locate the part of the level where there is an upside down tunnel. this is where the actual event occurs. what you should do is kill all the little goomba things, and turtle things...all that **** then run forward in the level until you encounter the cloud that throws little green balls at you; run back to the upside down tunnel place. the angry cloud should follow, all the while trying to kill you with its green balls. just before the upside down tunnel, there are 3 of those turtle things. you need one, and they don't come back if you kill them, so DON'T KILL THEM! instead, step on one so that it goes inside its shell, then pick it up. Run with it back to the tunnel, stand on the platform that is just beneath the tunnel, and release the turtle, he should bounce back and forth. now every time the angry cloud throws a green ball at you, the turtle thing that is bouncing back and forth will kill them. the tunnel should protect you from the green balls.(sometimes the timing is off, and the tunnel WON'T protect you...if this is the case try it again, it should protect you eventually, this mis-timed occurance happens about 50% of the time--i hope your lucky, cause it is tough as **** to do). now once you have established this, you will end up with about 75 lives or so before your time runs out. so you can do it another time, or however many times until you have 100 lives.

if you have any questions about this please feel free to e-mail me at peter.booker@quinnipiac.edu

extra life by Brad Richard 07 Jun 2007
extra life in 7-1 go up and hit the duck off the platform and keep going up when you get up to where you are at the end of the tunnel which is where the 2 plants com out towards the tunnel. Jump on the goose that is on the tunnel going sidways when it comes up near the three ? marked blocks get on top of them and then go on the closet ? block to where you got up from then just jump diagnally [left+up] then you should hit a block and a mushroom will fall out

Simply the best Super Mario on the NES...period! by Bob Winkler 30 Apr 2007
Who hasn’t played this game?, is there anyone?, not having played this game is an offence, a true sacrilege, because this is the best game ever crafted for the old Nes. Super Mario Bros. 3 is the true sequel of the first Mario game, the original Super Mario bros. 2 was just a bloody hard version of the first Mario, the and the American version, while as good as this one (in my humble opinion), was a completely new game that had almost nothing to do with the Mario saga. But this third part plays and feels exactly like the first Mario right from the beginning, and right from the beginning too, this game is one million times better than the original and three billion times better than basically any other Nes game you can imagine, and let’s face it, Super Mario Bros. 3 is much, much better than almost any other game you can imagine for any console ever. Yes, it is that good.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best Nes game available, the epitome of entertainment and gameplay perfection ever in the Nes, not loving this game is an insult to the video game industry, so it is very simple, if you don’t consider this game as one of your all time favourite, your are a moron that don’t deserve to keep playing, keep that in mind.
