    Description
Take to the streets of New York City with Activisionís True Crime: New York City for the PS2. An open-ended third-person shooter game, TRUE CRIME allows players to explore New York City while the soundtrack includes a number of popular songs. Players take on the role of Marcus Reed, a gangster turned cop who, through the course of the game, will have four different cases to solve. Each involves taking down hit men, thieves, and the occasional mob boss. Each of the missions has its own unique twists and turns, with the first lead usually just the tip of a much larger mystery. In addition to the four main missions, there are also side quests players can find by locating and talking to a number of different informants. These quests can help players earn cash quickly, pick up new items, or gain rank with the police department. In between missions, players can cruise NYC by asking citizens to give up their cars. As players drive through the city, police dispatches will come in informing them of crimes they can stop or other illegal activity. Plus, players can race in an illegal street race or fight in an underground tournament to earn more cash if they need it. Participating in these, however, earns them bad-cop points, which can lead to demotion in the police force. Players who love the thrill of games like GRAND THIEF AUTO will enjoy exploring NYC in True Crime: New York City.
