It is simple and will only take half an hour if you work really slow. first clean out all your your games using rubbing alcohol and cue tips. rub down the cartridges teeth (little gold like things in middle of game opening)with rubbing alcohol. then with a dry cue tip press kinda hard to get the dirt and dust off. your cue tip end will get a little black. do that and see if that helps.*you may have to do it more than once depending on how dirty the game is. When none will come off you either need to use a little more alcohol, or it is clean. IMPORTANT- NEVER use a lot of alcohol at a time. make sure it is all off before you use more. If that doesnt work, you might have a faulty pin connector. Dont worry. this sight sells them! be careful while doing that. after you install it, MAKE SURE YOUR GAMES ARE CLEAN!!! If you dont you'll just ruin the pin connector. If you have any questions or comments i would love to here them. just reply! I am glad to help!

your never supposed to use rubbing alcohol, benzene or other various cleaning solutions on nintendo games, or the nintendo system. It says so right on the back of the games! Now the 72 pins, yeah, those can be easily replaced. Never blow in your game, and using Q tips can even leave those little pieces of q tip cotton behind. Be careful, its better to use those soft embry boards, or find an official or unofficial nes cleaning kit which can still be found on the net.

when using q-tips for cleaning the connectors, it also works very well to use a "quick drying electrical grade contact cleaner" spray because it will dissolve the dirt off of the conectors and helps prevent corrosion

They sell the pin connectors on this site. they are easy to install and you can find the instructions all around the internet. you only need a screw driver to do it. a brief summery is you unscrew the top and slide the old connector off and slide the new connector on in its place.you can get it refurbished at this site also. look under videogame repair and the nintendo icon under product categories. good luck and enjoy your nes!
