Desert Falcon for the Atari 7800. Desert Falcon for the Atari VCS is a huge step down from the already mediocre Atari 7800 game. It has all the faults of the 7800 version (such as the difficulty in judging the altitude of the bird in relation to the enemies) and a number of flaws unique in and of itself. Hostile projectiles are oftentimes fired from offscreen, leaving the playfield frequently devoid of enemies. Even worse, control is sluggish, the action is slow and a mere fraction of the screen is utilized for actual gameplay. The only thing to keep gamers from deserting this title all together is the audio, which boasts Egyptian theme music and nice sound effects.
