  • Description
Based on the cinematic, live-action adaptation of the influential Dragon Ball manga and animé, the PSP-exclusive Dragonball: Evolution is a fast-paced 3D fighting game in the style of Namco Bandai's Tekken: Dark Resurrection. Players control the punches, kicks, blocks, and dodges of their fighter in one-on-one, hand-to-hand combat featuring martial arts moves and supernaturally powered attacks. The game's main "Story" mode puts players in control of Goku, who battles against other characters in turn as the plot of the film is reprised. The "Mission" mode pits players against particular combat challenges, and rewards success with unlockable character art, storyboards, and behind-the-scenes movie shots. The game also features a training mode and support for head-to-head, two-player combat through a local Ad-hoc wireless connection. A "Survival" mode (which also must be unlocked) has the player's fighter holding out as long as possible against never-ending waves of attackers. Based on their portrayals in the 2009 James Wong film, other playable characters include Chi Chi, Bulma, Roshi, Gohan, and Piccolo.
