Gordo 106 for the Atari Lynx. Gordo is a poor lab monkey trapped in the depths of N. Human, Inc., living a life of lonely misery. He's locked in cage 106 and is brutally exploited. But one day, things change. Gordo undergoes a nuclear potion experiment that enhances his brainpower. With his newfound intellect, Gordo can escape from his cage and free his animal friends.
The player guides Gordo through 20 or so stages of the N, Human, Inc. building, freeing caged rabbits and puppies. Along the way, Gordo must defeat or evade evil scientists, hunters and other assorted monsters. Gordo throws apples to knock out his enemies and can take a number of hits before dying. Certain enemies take more than one apple to defeat.
Gordo can run, jump, and swing his way through the levels. There is no stage timer, so he can explore the levels and free animals at his leisure. The monkey hero can pick up more apples to throw, or bananas to replenish his health. He starts the game with six lives, and can earn more through the course of the game. At the end of the game, Gordo faces the prospect of taking on the evil N. Human himself.
