  • Description
Grand tour racing makes an appearance on the PlayStation with Gran Turismo. Beginners will want to play the Arcade mode and hit one of the games 11 unique tracks. By winning races in the A, B, and C classes, new cars, tracks, and options will become available. Where the game really shines, though, is in the Gran Turismo mode. Players start out with a small amount of cash to buy a first car, but the player must pass several licensing tests before they can race out on the track. The licensing exams are a tutorial to the game?s controls and are not as menacing as they sound. Once out on the track, all of the nearly 150 different cars have unique quirks that take some time to learn. To have any success, the player must learn to adjust to the under steer of rear-wheel drive cars, the over steer of front-wheel drive vehicles, and the touchy controls of a four-wheel drive automobile. With two unique modes of play, GRAN TURISMO has something for arcade racing fans as well as hardcore simulation freaks.

    MAX PERCENTAGE
I HAVE 100% ON GRAN TURISMO 2, YES, I'M AWARE THAT THIS GAME HAS BEEN
OUT FOR QUITE AWHILE, BUT IF THERE IS ANYONE LEFT OUT THERE WITH 98.2%
WHO JUST CAN'T ACCEPT THAT SUCH AN AWSOME GAME HAS SUCH A "GLITCH",THE
SOLUTION IS REALLY QUITE SIMPLE. I ALSO PLAYED FOR HOURS, CHECKED AND
RECHECKED EVERY RACE, GOT FED UP, AS I ASSUME MOST HAVE. I MEAN C'MON
IT,S A COMPLETION THING, YOU WANT 100%!!! OK ENOUGH TALK, GO TO "EVENT
GENERATOR" WIN EVERY RACE AT EVERY LEVEL YOU WILL WIN ANOTHER TROPHY
AND .8%. I PROBABLY COULD WRITE ABOUT THIS GAME FOR HOURS, BUT TO SUM
IT UP IN SHORT; GT2 IS THE BEST RACE SIM. I'VE EVER PLAYED. I'M WAITING
FOR THE NEXT "GT" GAME TO COME OUT, UNTIL THEN I'LL BE RACING ON GT2
IT'S TIMELESS. I DO HAVE ONE QUESTION, ARE THE 400M/1000M MACHINE TESTS
    THE ONLY DRAG RACING "EVENTS"?
