Head out to the wild west in Activision's GUN for the PS2. With an open-ended world that players can explore as they want, many optional quests, and tons of shot-outs, GUN is sure to capture the attention of gamers. Players take on the role of Colton White, a gunslinger who has been raised and trained by his mentor, Ned. While traveling on a steamboat, they come across an artifact that Ned has seen before. However, before he can tell Colton much about it, the boat is attacked and Colton finds himself
the soul survivor. Alone in Dodge City, Colton begins his mission to discover what the artifact is and why his friend died for it. As the name implies, GUN involves a lot of guns. As players explore the different cities present, they will be forced to fight for their lives in a number of different situations. Colton is more than a match for his foes, however, with weapons like the traditional pistol, rifles, shotguns, bows, and even dynamite. Colton also has his favorite mode of transportation at his disposal: a horse. Horses allow players to get around town quickly or make a fast getaway. GUN promises hours of wild west action, and it delivers. In addition to the main storyline, players have a wide variety of side quests that range from cattle ranching to winning a poker tournament. For gamers who love the wild west, GUN is a gateway to the time of outlaws, sheriffs,
and shot outs.
