Microsoft's Kinect Sports is one of the first retail releases for Xbox
360 to use the Kinect hands-free accessory system. Sports-themed
mini-games are played through a controller-free interface that can sense
motion, detect gestures, and pick up spoken commands. Family room
athletes make their in-game personas kick a ball, swing a racket, or run
a race by performing the action in front of the Kinect
three-dimensional sensor device. The game features whole-body activities
based on six sports: beach volleyball, bowling, boxing,
table tennis,
track and field, and
soccer. Games can be played solo, or in competitive
or cooperative multiplayer
