  • Description
After saving the world in his last adventure, Spyro and his friend Sparx decide to take a vacation to Dragon Shores. While there, they are sucked into a vortex that takes them to Avalar. All three of the Avalar worlds are in danger of falling under the power of a pint-sized dictator named Ripto. In order to save the worlds from the evil ruler, Spyro must travel through all three and collect various orbs and talismans. To navigate all 29 levels, Spyro will have to use the moves he learned during the first adventure like gliding, charge attacks, and fire-breathing. For the new quest, he has also learned some new moves including ice-skating, spitting items out of his mouth, and a nasty headbutt. In addition to brawn, Spyro will have to use his head to solve puzzles and earn the opportunity to play bonus games.

    Insomniac has Done it Again
    by kate 07 May 2007

There's two different types of experiences that sit at the top of videogaming. There's the calm, breathtaking ones that you savour (Hyrule field in Zelda 64, using the first person view in just about any Banjo Kazooie level) and there are the fast furious fun ones seen in games like Crash Bandicoot and just about all first person shooters. Of course you CAN'T have both in a game. Or can you? Overly epic, serene games often need more variety, and the fast furious experiences can prove to be shallow, so why not fuse them together to form a deep, fun experience? And that's what Insomniac games have done, they've made the best platformer available on the playstation.

    Features:

    • 29 different levels,
    • over 100 interactive characters,
    • variety of new moves, power-ups and hidden items,
    • clear and detailed sound effects and music
