Playing Tip
I hate to foreshadow such an excellent game, but you may find this useful. In the Shrine of Water, take all of Pottle's items away from him after you get the orb and defeat the guards. Pottle leaves you soon after this, and this way you'll have his items to sell or distribute among your party.
Likewise, when you you defeat the firebird boss in the Big Tree level, take Rachel's items away before you leave the tree.
Save Anywhere
Stuck in Draktyr and constantly getting floored after spending an hour wandering through its halls?
Simply do this to save anytime: Highlight "Status" on the menu, while holding "Start", press and
hold Down-Left. When it scrolls to the unavailable "Save" option, push "A" and you can save!
You can save every 10 steps and reload after each fight so you can get to Sadoul without a single fight! Don't worry about experience, because you can get all the way to the healing pool just before Sadoul and build levels there.
Starting Out
As soon as you begin, search the walls of your starting room. You'll find a Phoenix Heart and another useful item.
