According to his back-story in the original Street Fighter III and Street Fighter III 2nd Impact, Alex is an American from New York. (Given his accent, many assume that Alex is from Brooklyn, although his stage in 2nd Impact is Greenwich Village). Alex enters the third World Warrior tournament because its sponsor, Gill, has seriously injured his best friend and father figure tom, even though Tom has told him that Gill had won fairly. Tom allows him to go, and Alex wins every match before facing Gill, whom he defeats but has no chance to kill. He returns home to find Tom fully recovered. In Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, after experiencing numerous battles against other martial arts masters around the world, Alex wants to continue fighting. Against Tom's wishes he sets off on a journey in search of a stronger opponent. In the official poll by Namco, Alex has been the second most requested Street Fighter side character to be added to the roster of Tekken X Street Fighter, as of August 2012 raking up 17.97% of votes. Alex makes other fighting appearances in Capcom Fighting All-Stars, Capcom Fighting Evolution and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.

It was affiliated with Studio XD; in March 2004, UDON announced a partnership to release comics under Devil's Due Publishing. UDON's first offering was the Street Fighter comic book series, launching in September 200They would add a Darkstalkers comic series to their line in November 200In October 2005, UDON reorganized its operations and became a full-fledged publisher. Erik Ko revealed that the lengthy break in the Summer of 2005 was to recover from a licensing deal with Capcom, which saw UDON doing artwork for Capcom Fighting Evolution. Although UDON appreciated the opportunity to work on the game, and to strengthen their ties with the video game maker, it taxed their resources, and left them behind schedule on their comics. In October 2005, UDON released Street Fighter II #0, the sequel to their Street Fighter comic; it was followed in early 2006 with the long awaited launch of Rival Schools. Erik Ko discusses this in an interview with Newsarama that can be read here.

An official soundtrack of the game was released on December 18, 1996, for Y320It was composed by Takayuki Iwai with additional help by Ryoji Yamamoto and Wataru Hachisako. It contains 72 tracks over 2 CDs. Certain tracks were later featured in the 2004 game Capcom Fighting Evolution, although they are downgraded versions and slightly offtune.

Demitri's voice in the games is provided by Nobuyuki Hiyama, who reprises the role in Capcom Fighting Evolution, SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos, the Japanese version of Cross Edge, Namco × Capcom and Project X Zone. In the anime, he is voiced by Akio Otsuka. Paul Dobson plays him in the dubbed version of the anime, while Richard Epcar plays him in the English version of Cross Edge.

I would like to see a little part about the Yashishi, that little star-shaped (sort of) icon that Capcom used in a LOT of their games. It was the cursor in SNES Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Invincibility icon in Final Fight 3, full refill in Mega Man 1 (only one in game), featured in Hydron's ending in Capcom Fighting Evolution. It's in almost all of their older games I believe. Maybe when we have some other Trivia to add too there could be a Trivia section. --ScarletSpiderDave 07:56, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Karin Kanzuki (?? ???, Kanzuki Karin?) was originally Sakura's first rival in Masahiko Nakahira's Sakura Ganbaru! manga from 1996. Her character was integrated into the video game series as a playable character in Street Fighter Alpha Karin is the only daughter of a corporate family and is snobbish and dismissive, calling everyone around her "commoners". Her parents are Daigenjuro Kanzuki and Nadeshiko Kanzuki. She has a muscular butler named Ishizaki and another employee named Shibazaki. To honor her family motto, "Be the winner of everything", she travels the world to track down and defeat Sakura. She appears in Namco X Capcom fighting alongside Sakura, and by herself in Capcom Fighting Evolution (although Sakura also appears as a playable character).
