Codemasters invites wannabe speed racers to tackle 38 internationally renowned race circuits in Pro Race Driver for Xbox. Forty-two available racecars include models by Toyota, Daimler Chrysler, Dodge, Chevrolet, Ford, Mitsubishi, Peugeot and more. Gameplay modes include Career, Free Race, and Time Trial with split screen for up to four players. Players can enter one of 13 World Championship series, including the TOCA Tour, the Southern and Northern European Challenges, and the American All Stars. The character-based acing game incorporates many elements of cinematic storytelling to draw players in and move them forward through the plot. Action movie production methods are used to instill excitement and the story follows a nine-act structure with most segments less then a minute long to keep the action moving. Scenes are generated within the context of the story and feature the character's most recently used car to create a more personal level of immersion. As with Codemasters' Colin McRae Rally 3, bonus codes are available from within the game that can be redeemed for a fee either online or via phone call (900 number) to acquire additional features. Bonus unlocks for Pro Race Driver include all cars, tracks, championships and challenges, as well as the ability to make handling and damage more realistic, turn damage off, or give cars a different handling style.
