Crash Bandicoot is back, and this time, he and his friends and enemies are engaging in a little racing madness in VU Game's Crash Tag Team Racing for the PS2. However, the racing isn't everything. There are platformer parts of the game that
play out like Crash's former adventures. The premise of Crash Tag Team Racing revolves around an
amusement
park ran by cyborg Von Clutch. Von Clutch's power crystals have been stolen, and he hopes to lure the thief out by hosting races using his remaining crystals as prizes. To get to the races themselves, Crash will have to make his way through the amusement park.

This is where the platformer action comes in, as Crash is attacked by various enemies. Once Crash hits the races, however, it?s all kart combat. Players have eight different characters to choose from, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. A number of different weapons lie on the track, including dynamite monkeys and exploding chickens, that will send foes to the sidelines. The tag team aspect of the game is what really makes the racing unique. Players can enter merge mode at the touch of a button, and the next time their kart collides with another, the two combine into a battle kart with one racer driving while the other mans a large weapon. Each character combination creates an unique kart with an unique weapon. Crash fans, racing fans, and gamers looking for something a little different will enjoy CRASH TAG TEAM RACING.
