One of five Mario-related edutainment games for the
super NES, Mario's
Time Machine is the weakest of the bunch. As the title character,
players travel through time, answer a variety of history questions, and
return artifacts (which were stolen by Bowser) to their rightful
owners. The action sequences, which involve gathering mushrooms while
cruising the surface of the ocean on a mini-surfboard, are enemy-free
and dreadfully dull.
